Connect two parts and a whole through eight written addition and subtraction arrangements. Explore what the equals sign means and keep building new families.

How to play

Learn with the part–whole model first. Choose a blank and reuse the number buttons to complete one fact at a time. Find all eight arrangements, then check the family. Make another family whenever you like. The profile level chooses the number range. No timer or penalties.

3 + 2 = 5 and 5 = 3 + 2 describe equal values. 5 − 3 = 2 and 2 = 5 − 3 belong to the same family.
