Levels 7–8
Momo's List Comma Picnic
Use commas to separate items and actions in a list, keep words within one item together, and recognise a simple two-item list.
How to play
Learn with Momo first: a comma separates items in a list. In apples, pears and plums, the comma follows apples and and joins the last two items. Look at each picnic picture, then choose an answer or a labelled gap. Use a hint whenever you like. Some writers also use a comma before and in longer lists; we practise the earlier comma. No timer or penalties.
Momo packs apples, pears and plums. Apples, pears and plums are three separate items. A red hat is one whole item even though it uses three words.
