Momo’s Materials Garden

Describe and compare everyday material samples using observed properties, and explain why a material suits an object’s purpose.

How to play

Learn property words with Momo’s picture tests. An object is a thing; its material is what it is made from. A grown-up can read what happened in each picture and help you compare the samples. These are virtual tests: you do not need real materials. Answer one question at a time, use hints and choose Next when ready. Your profile level chooses the questions. There are no timers or penalties.

A cotton pad dents under a gentle push while a wood block stays firm. The pad is softer in this test. Different materials can share properties, and one material can have several properties.
