Untangle the Ropes

Move lettered nodes to empty positions until no rope crosses, overlaps or passes through an unrelated node.

How to play

Choose a lettered node, then an empty + position. Its attached straight ropes follow. Occupied positions cannot be swapped. Shared graph endpoints are allowed.

Two crossing ropes lead to small planar graphs at the shared profile level. Every generated layout has a checked empty-slot relocation witness and a planar reference. Outlined × and ! cues mark conflicts. Hints explain one move in a checked route. Undo, Reset and explicit Next retain discoveries, with no timer or penalties.
